I think the trailer was rated for 14,000lbs GW. The Groton
weights ~10,000 empty. The truck was a Dodge 2500 Diesel. This was real
close to the max for everything. My father-in-law had his CDL at the
time.

First step, remove all the bindings and chains.

Now, getting the engine off
of the trailer required a bit of muscle. The drawbar I have was not
long enough to use it to pull the engine from the trailer. So, my
father-in-law "arm-stronged" it off of the trailer by turning the
flywheel with the drive gears engaged. I was on the platform holding
the brake lever to keep the engine from taking off once it tipped over
the end of the trailer platform.

Now, it's time to get hooked up to the truck.

Notice the go-cart and mower had to move.

Down the slope to the barn.

I was sweating bullets after
we put in the contract on this place. I could not remember if the doors
were tall enough for the Groton to fit. It cleared by less than 6
inches.

The Groton is now in its new home.
